Cambodia embodies the raw beauty expected of a South-East Asian country. Discover the real Cambodia. If you want to understand Cambodia truly, you need to visit the countryside. Visitors will find the pleasant, kind Cambodians for whom the Kingdom is famed. As a result, Cambodia is called the “Land of smiles and kindness”. Aside from the fact that the people in this country are friendly and hospitable, the various quiet rural landscapes allow you to escape the hectic city life. Cambodia is eager to welcome you all for an unforgettable journey.

Cambodia is breathtakingly gorgeous, with incredible biodiverse national parks, stunning paddy-strewn countryside, a captivating blend of Khmer and French architecture, a stunning coastline, and a new assortment of luxury island beaches.

Are you wondering where to go in Cambodia? Let’s go into the article and understand the best spots to visit.

Angkor Wat

The temples of Angkor are an outstanding UNESCO World Heritage temple complex and Cambodia’s crowning beauty. What is there to see within Angkor Wat? Angkor Wat is a massive religious complex with over a thousand buildings, one of the world’s great cultural wonders. Angkor Wat, the world’s most extensive sacred building, spans 400 acres (160 hectares) and represents the pinnacle of Khmer design. Wat is only one of several temples in the vicinity.

Siem Reap

The Angkor temples aren’t the only reason to visit Siem Reap. It has intriguing architecture, a bustling food scene, and an unexpected nightlife, making it a popular destination for backpackers and ex-pats. When visiting the temples, remember to dress modestly.

Try some street food

Street Food in Cambodia - World Holiday Vibes Blog, Good Vibes Only

Cambodians adore food and frequently eat throughout the day. The country’s streets are teeming with street food sellers selling a wide range of local specialities for visitors to experience. As a result, it is a food lover’s heaven. Cambodians love Samlor korkor. While amok is sometimes referred to be the country’s national meal and maybe the one most familiar to tourists, samlor korkor has a stronger claim to being Cambodia’s actual national dish.

Enjoy the Cardamom Mountains

Cardamom Mountains, Cambodia - World Holiday Vibes Blog, Good Vibes Only

The Cardamom Mountains are one of Southeast Asia’s last significant rainforests, but it remains a hidden gem among Cambodian tourists. The rainforests of the Cardamom Mountains in southern Cambodia are regarded as one of Southeast Asia’s most species-rich tropical rainforest ecosystems, with a high level of endemism. For many years, this region was relatively untouched. Still, recent biological surveys have revealed hundreds of new bird, frog, reptile, insect, and plant species, many of which are exclusive to this isolated mountain range. The Cardamom Rainforest is a must-see when visiting Cambodia’s natural wonders. The Cardamoms are one of Southeast Asia’s last unfragmented rainforests, and everyone will find a hidden gem in this genuine treasure trove. Towering waterfalls, mountain biking, kayaking, and multi-day excursions to ecological and cultural sites await adventurers.

Popokvil Waterfalls

Popokvil Waterfalls, Cambodia - World Holiday Vibes Blog, Good Vibes Only

Popokvil Waterfall is a two-tiered cascade separated by a mudbank. Visitors come to this location to rest and enjoy the tranquil atmosphere because the waterfall is too shallow to swim in. It is one of Cambodia’s most popular tourist spots. Popokvil waterfall is located on Bokor Mountain, a renowned tourist destination in Kampot Province, due to its comfortable cold weather and attractively groomed hill. The perfect blend of distinctive natural architecture, magnificent scenery, and a pleasant environment is worth visiting at least once in your life.

Phnom Chhngok cave Temple

Phnom Chhnok Cave Temple, Cambodia - World Holiday Vibes Blog, Good Vibes Only

Phnom Chhngok is a temple in Cambodia near Kampot. It is Cambodia’s only cave temple dedicated to the Hindu God Shiva. The temple remains are older than the Angkor constructions from the Funan era, and they are one of the attractions in Kampot. The Pre-Angkor period remains, and the quiet countryside position surrounded by verdant fields makes Phnom Chhngok cave temple attractive to travellers.

Psar Thmei

Psar Thmei, Cambodia - World Holiday Vibes Blog, Good Vibes Only

Psar Thmei, also known as Central Market, is the leading market in the Cambodian city of Phnom Penh and was formerly thought to be the largest in Asia. The central market features the most jewels and gemstones of any market and the freshest food section. There are also numerous businesses offering electronics and domestic devices around the market. Psar Thmei is an ideal place for shopping.

Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda

Royal palace, Cambodia - World Holiday Vibes Blog, Good Vibes Only

On this land are the Royal Palace and the Silver Pagoda side by side, and while they are two independent complexes, they are visited as one. The Royal Palace is one of Cambodia’s most appealing tourist destinations, and the palace is the King of Cambodia’s highest domain. It is a beautiful example of Khmer architecture with a French influence, and the majestic buildings and grounds offer an intriguing glimpse into the past.

Visitors are only permitted to visit the Silver Pagoda and its surrounding compound at the palace. Inside the pagoda, however, photography is not authorised. Visitors must wear knee-length shorts and T-shirts or blouses that reach the elbow; otherwise, they must rent an appropriate covering. On Sundays, when Khmers from the countryside come to pay their respects, the palace becomes exceptionally crowded, yet this may be an excellent way to explore the location since it is thronged with locals.

Other than the places I’ve listed, other sites also have a lot to offer everyone. It would be best to go to Cambodia without hesitation, and it’s well worth a visit.

As a result, I’d want to share the results of my research through fantastic articles on holiday destinations. You don’t need a magic trick or a magical location to melt a barricade; you need a desperate desire to travel and an excellent choice. My heart longs to travel the length and breadth of infinity. Find an undiscovered location and learn new skills that will set you apart from the crowd! Have a pretty good day! Good vibes only!
