I don’t know whether I am the only one wondering this or all of us do, but anyway, I am going to unravel my thoughts. Have you ever questioned why the skies and oceans on our planet are so blue? Of course, we all know it’s blue, but why blue? You might wonder what it has to do with the blue colour, but personally, there is a reason for it to be blue. You’ll get to know it when you read me!

The colour of blue is a touch of gentleness, velvety and firm. One can ask how it can be both gentle and firm, and the answer lies in itself. If it can be gentle, it can be firm because gentleness would only leave an impression if it were firm and constant. If not, no.

Diving into the topic, I personally like to refer to Bali as a colour of blue because it is a nation surrounded by sapphire water and crystal sky wherever you go.

The palette of blue makes us feel the touch of gentleness and live in the moment of the extraordinary! It is the same around Bali; you can feel the land and explore it in or around it because it is gentle and firm.

Get ready to envisage the most iconic topic of my week, ISLAND-HOPPING!!!

Bali, also named The Island of Gods, is one of the most famous holiday destinations worldwide. But today, I am not talking about Bali but about the surrounding gems of it. It means THE ISLAND-HOPPING OPTIONS. Exciting, isn’t it? Let’s jump into where you can island-hop on a holiday to Bali.

The Rugged Beauty: Nusa Penida

Nusa Penida, Bali Island Hopping Holiday - World Holiday Vibes Blog

The rugged beach and emerald-blue ocean of Nusa Penida, the largest of the Nusa Islands, located southeast of Bali, are its main attractions. It also helps that Bali can be reached in only one hour by high-speed boat, which makes it a wonderful place to go island hopping.

This island is pretty untouched. Compared to other places in Bali, this is where you can get a true sense of what Bali was like in its natural form before tourism took over. You can discover the genuine culture and traditions of the neighbourhood.

Exploring Volcanic Trails in Lombok

Lombok, Bali Island Hopping Holiday - World Holiday Vibes Blog

Lombok has evolved as one of the most famous destinations for people looking to expand their exploration. It is the largest island to visit from Bali. Mount Rinjani, Indonesia’s second-tallest volcano, is located on Lombok, famous for its distinctive volcanic environment.

If you can spend more than a day exploring the island, Lombok is the ideal site to search for undiscovered waterfalls like Tiu Teja and Tiu Kelep while coupling it up with world-class surfing on its beaches.

Live It Up in Gili Trawangan

Gili, Bali Island Hopping Holiday - World Holiday Vibes Blog

One of the three Gili Islands, Gili T, is situated off the northwest coast of Lombok. Along with Lombok, Gili Trawangan in the Bali Sea is a fantastic place to go island hopping because boats to it go from both Bali and Lombok. Gili T offers a distinctive experience that differs considerably from what you would get in Bali or Lombok.

It boasts coral reefs with docile reef sharks and beautiful white sand beaches. The beautiful sunsets you can see from the island’s western stretch of resorts, eateries, and beaches, will make the journey worthwhile.

Menjangan Island, Bali’s Best-kept Secret

Menjangan, Bali Island Hopping Holiday - World Holiday Vibes Blog

Menjangan Island is a unique island located 8 kilometres off Bali’s northwest coast and near the West Bali National Park. This is where you should head off if you want the finest scuba diving and snorkelling experience possible because of its unparalleled underwater variety. Though this is somewhere you can’t spend a night, you will never regret the visit to Menjangan island.

Enjoy a ferry ride from Labuhan Lalang port in northern Bali and spend the day discovering the magnificent coral reefs, exploring ancient temples, or just taking in the tranquillity of the island without the tourist hordes.

Komodo Island – For Wildlife Enthusiasts

Komodo, Bali Island Hopping Holiday - World Holiday Vibes Blog

The Komodo Dragon, the giant lizard in the world, may be found at Komodo National Park on Komodo Island, a UNESCO-designated world heritage site. Undoubtedly, the island’s fauna attracts much attention, but couples and nature enthusiasts may also enjoy fantastic scuba diving in the seas. The legendary manta rays, sharks, and some of Indonesia’s most breathtaking reefs may all be found in the underwater ecosystem of Komodo island.

Experience Mini Indonesia – Java Island

Java, Bali Island Hopping Holiday - World Holiday Vibes Blog

The centre of Indonesian culture, Java, is located west of Bali. Java island is often called the “little Indonesia” due to its myriad temples, architectural wonders, traditional Indonesian culture and heritage, and a few volcanoes. The most well-known cities on this historic island near Bali are Jakarta, Bandung, Jogja, Malang, and Bogor. The historic Hindu temples of Borobudur and the Sultan’s residence are symbols of Indonesian royal culture.

These are my top favourite blue islands when it comes to Island hopping in Bali. When I say blue, again, it is gentle, velvety and firm. No matter how long you stay, it doesn’t make you want to leave the place, once again, firm! This is what I mean when I utter blue!!

Ahoy matey! I am Aakifa Kellen, a Vibes Group UK content writer. I view travelling as a carbon copy of a lovely picture. Adding colours is all one has to do. Deciding the colours and where to colour them is the painter's choice. My imagination of travel is a wall of pictures with fairy lights and twinkles in between that lights up life when I add new colours to the wall. Fascinating, isn't it? That is why I write about travel blogs. Writing about them makes me share my interest with you and let you know the top travel destinations you can tenderly be around the world. I connect via time spent travelling and making memorable moments!
